Holding one of the Top most rankings of Technological Institutes, Institute of Technology Bandung abbreviated as ITB has grown into a massive center of science and technology for the people of Indonesia. With the growing market and trend of science and IT, Indonesia is also progressing forwards with this established hub of knowledge and education.
ITB was established in 1959 and has been in Bandung ever since. It now has many campuses around the area, the main campus and others combine to cover a total area of 770,000 square meters. The student body surpasses 2000-3000 now and a number of graduates are even more in number. The faculty is highly experienced and a number of faculties surpass good 1000. Degrees and Courses of the utmost technological fields are provided with the best faculty in the city, on the other hand, they also provide scholarships to more than 1000 students every year, and also provide research grants.
A few of the main schools of ITB are the school of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Technology, Architecture Planning and many more. Students come from far and wide to take benefit of these vast schools through their undergraduate, graduate and Doctor Degrees.
Institute of Bandung has been cultivating Research and Innovation from the start and expose their students to unlimited sources of information while giving them the ability to bring out their own creativity. Many ITB students have participated and showcased their talent in different fields around the world. A great pearl of ITB is Duto Hardono who completed his Masters from ITB and has been recently helping researchers understand the Human Brain Condition through sounds and pictures.
While displaying his work, he uses collages with the sounds which emphasize that the brain identifies to patterns in human life and these sounds and videos trigger those parts of the brain referring to time and temporal spatiality.
